Boomers Can Help Themselves Through This Recession
Did you know that Google just posted it’s third-quarter profits for this year and that they are the highest EVER for the company? Assisting the growth was a 14% increase in Pay Per Click advertising (used by most home business owners when posting ads for the services or business on the Internet. It shows that business on the Internet is booming, whereas businesses elsewhere are laying off people by the thousands. We cannot hide our heads in the sand about this and wait for it to “go away,” because it isn’t going to simply disappear overnight and turn into a financial wonderland. But we aren’t adrift with no where to turn to – Google’s recent success supports the recommendation that starting a home based business online is your best insurance during these tough times.
Particularly in the direct selling industry – where the company cuts outs out the middlemen and leaves the marketing and sales to Independent Business Owners, inviduals like yourself who have opted to start their own home business. Did you know, that households that derive their income from self-owned businesses make approximately 5 times as much per year than traditional households whose income comes from employment.
Boomers can work together to form Internet alliances with partners, and work to promote each other’s businesses. Yes, it takes a while to find your niche and a business you know is reliable and potentially profitable to you – but in the long run, it is well worth the effort to secure your future.
Sometimes the “scam” is thrown about so often, that people become convinced that every online offer is a worthless money and time drainer. In reality, that is not true and with the proper research and getting into contact with Internet marketers you respect, you’ll find a business that fits with your needs. How do you find these contacts?
Well, that is one of the nice things about the Internet. Connecting with people through social media outlets, seeing them in their advertising efforts (often with videos), reading their blogs and articles – you can get a feeling of confidence about a person you’ve never met. And, many Internet marketers are more than happy to discuss marketing with you without trying to “pitch” their own business opportunity. You might find that you want to enter their opportunity, but you will often find many marketers quite willing just to help you out. That is the way it works online, because it is all about building relationships. Something you can do in “brick and mortar” way because you do not get the chance to personally interact with people unless you reach out to them or they reach out to you. I’m certainly someone you can call and I know a lot of others who’d be happy to talk to you, too.
So, don’t lose sleep in these tough times, get into action and DO something about it; and do it somewhere where it will be worth your while for the long term………online.
