Offline – Letting Others Know You Care

With so much information out there about creating contacts and leads online, the offline world is often ignored.  While I think the belly-to-belly, hotel opportunity meetings are a thing of the past (that worked very well for its time), there is something missing from purely online marketing that takes away the personal touch and developing relationships with the people you meet.  It flows over to personal relationships, too.  How often do we hear from relatives and friends, with only a link to a picture storage site or an e-card.

While it is unlikely that the world will return to writing letters – since even phone calls are replaced with quick text messages.  As most parents can tell you, calling their kids’ cell phones and leaving a voice mail often produces no response because the kids find is a hassle to listen to voice mail.  But if you text them – they get back to you right away.

And then, there is junk mail – the dreaded trip to the mailbox to pick up more trash to add to our weekly chore.

But when was the last time you received an unexpected, real, live, stamped greeting card? It is such a warm feeling to receive a card, but we don’t often do it.  Why not?  It’s a hassle, greeting cards cost too much today, then you have to find a stamp, then you have to mail it.  Now that doesn’t sound like much 50 years ago, but in today’s fast-paced world – admit it, it is.

Yet, the greeting card industry is a huge money-maker and one company took it online in a way that is pretty incredible.  With over 15,000 cards and counting, the ability to upload photos, the technology to take your own handwriting and turn it into a font to print on the card – well, that was too much to resist.  For personal reasons – I confess to being bad with cards (often finding them in a drawer months after someone’s birthday has passed).

But this turned my head and I jumped.  The ability to really reach out and touch someone, let them know you care, whether you are lifelong friends or new contacts online is overflowing with opportunity.  And, for the Internet addict that I am – I can do it all online, leaving the printing, stuffing, addressing, stamping and most important MAILING to them.   And, it can come with an income opportunity.

I am having a blast with it.

Why don’t you give it a try – send a heartfelt message to someone you’ve been wanting to contact for a while.  I think this is truly a way to genuinely interact with people that lessens the starkness of our world of electronic communication.  There is no reason why they cannot co-exist.

Give it a try – it costs less than a dollar for the whole shebang – so I’ll pay for your card.  Accept my gift for you to send a card to a friend or loved one today, I think you’ll love it.

I do love the way you have presented this specific issue plus it does indeed supply me a lot of fodder for consideration. Nonetheless, because of just what I have observed, I only hope as the commentary stack on that men and women stay on issue and don’t start upon a tirade associated with the news of the day. Still, thank you for this outstanding point and though I do not really agree with this in totality, I regard your viewpoint.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you could be giving us something informative to read?

Howdy! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when browsing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to fix this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. With thanks!

I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A couple of my blog readers have complained about my website not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any advice to help fix this problem?
