Spring Is Here And So Is Your Freedom!

OK, so it’s still 42 degrees at 6 a.m. on April 6th, but at least the 7 feet of snow is gone!
It’s been a long time, and a pretty rough Winter. I nursed and lost a dear friend at far too young an age, moved 3 times for crazy house defect reasons, totaled my car on black ice in a ballet on Elm Street that made me famous on the 10 pm news and took out half the street (but thank God not a single human being – except me, but I just got a free ride to the ER on a backboard with some good looking paramedics).
Not an advertisement, I get no commissions, but that Subaru Outback saved my life and was immediately replaced with a new Subaru – I didn’t even bother looking at any other cars.
So I checked out for a while – to recover, regroup and relax (oh yeah, I forgot – move a few times). But I saw that was the real beauty of working for myself from home.
Who was I going to call in to and ask for a day off because I’d just had a big car accident and didn’t feel to great? Me? Well, I didn’t have to call but I sure said yes, with no consequences, lost sick days or pay cuts!
With all that happened, and Christmas coming – I decided a Winter respite was in order – and I got to make the decision without consulting anyone.
Do you get it, yet? Skip the news on how great the economy is………..if it’s so great, why are people working 3 jobs, cutting back and feeling pretty miserable? If I’d had a JOB JOB to deal with during the last five months, I would have been pretty tense. But I wasn’t. Sure, the worst part was losing a close friend, but not having to put on the “face,” in an office I didn’t want to be in, allowed me to grieve and come to terms with his loss a lot faster. Yeah still hurts, it will for a long time, but I have the time and the means to deal with it.
And while I busy moving or fiercely doing………..err, nothing, out of the blue comes one of my most trusted Internet buddies excited to show me a new program that’s finally making total newbies make it – and fast!
So, I arise from my Winter slumber (had to get up sometime before the Memorial Day, right), and start looking at this.  What? They finally perfected it? It’s worth millions and you can call the owners on the phone? AND IT’S A $250 one time, entry fee, worldwide enterprise, no side buys, not a cash gifting scam, full FREE training, you can call the owners and a 76 year old newbie is earning megabucks in his first month without knowing how to use a computer?
HELLO? What kind of drugs did they give me in that hospital? If I didn’t respect my Internet buddy so well, it would have been one of those prerecorded marketing calls I get all day and hang up on.
But, I listened. You’re going spend $250 on something that will never get you anything in return. Do you have 20 minutes? Would you like to lie on a beach someday soon?

Oh, it’s almost 7 a.m. and went down to a balmy 35 degrees – think I’ll take the dog for a walk now then come back and figure out what beach I’m escaping to!
