It is Monday morning. This Blog is my homebase for my work as an Internet Marketer. It is not a political, social, religious, or current events Blog. I earn my living, as we all do, with the tools of my trade.
The Blog helps me to get information around the world. Well, I’m not just an Internet Marketer, I am a human being, and the catastrophe in Haiti tugs at my heart and compells me to do anything and everything I can to help the victims of that massive earthquake. So, why not dump business for a while and put what is most important out there to those I reach? Isn’t that my true duty as a person and as a member of the Christian religion? (Yes, I am a Catholic Christian -- so for me nothing should be more important.)
I didn’t create this video -- but I’m including it in my Blog in the hopes that it will take the incredible power of the Internet to spread things virally and worldwide and encourage people to drop whatever else they are doing and help. No business, no marketing, no job is more important now that helping people who have suffered a calamity beyond our understanding and who cannot help themselves.
I am proud the United States is leading the efforts in relief. Some countries, have sent condolences -- they will go unnamed. But shortly after the release of Osama Bin Laden’s sick and self-congratulatory claim to have masterminded the failed Christmas Day airline bombing attempt in the US (a virally spreading piece of news), I want to continue to spread something that may cause people to dig deep to help people truly in need.
Watch this video and go to it’s place on You Tube. As I said, it is not mine. But it’s creator lists quite a few places to donate (if you don’t know where to send some aid) and explains the story in at least four languages. He is someone who is helping his fellow man and his video should spread virally, unlike the garbage proferred by Bin Laden. I couldn’t create a better video -- and there is hardly a greater need for help from all of us than there is in Haiti today.

Did you know, that every time you post to Twitter through the web, or TweetDeck or Hootsuite, you are giving up FREE marketing space – in other words free Twitter real estate, which is always at a premium because with 140 characters, you can’t say much. But those little notes underneath that say “sent from __________” are CLICKABLE links. Go ahead, try it. Click underneath any tweet where it says where it was sent from and voila! – you are at their page.
But a new FREE (love those words) Twitter app – allows you to send it from yourself and link back to yourself with every tweet you make. What a bonanza for marketers. After you install the software from MarketMeTweet, you can start sending tweets that link people back to whatever home page you want.
Go ahead, go to My Twitter Page and click on my name below any of the tweets I’ve sent using this great software. Isn’t that a great help to marketers?
Of course, there are still very valid reasons for using the expanded capabilities of the other platforms – organizing friends, tribes, etc., but you don’t have to be married to just one.

Travel is, hands down, the most lucrative enterprise for the average home-based entrepreneur. Welcome to all the new online entrepreneurs joining this new economy, a return to entrepreneurship, self-reliance and the only business I know of where you cannot succeed unless you help others do the same. What a gift this brings us. Not only financial freedom, but a sense of purpose and relationships with people all over the globe.
It is a fun and exciting venture – particularly for me as a Baby Boomer – but don’t forget to talk to others who have gone before you. If you find an opportunity, but you can’t find the people behind it and talk to them and get your questions answered – RUN. There are plenty of good-hearted and willing souls anxious to teach you what they know and who will make it their business to help you succeed. The joy of giving to others is what makes this path such a pleasure.
